Here, you will delve into my world of koolness and learn that as, Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." He was right. Never doubt ANYTHING that Albert Einstein said 'cause he's the man.

I'm still very happy over the All Blacks win in the RWC Grand Final. Everyday I think about it and everyday it never gets anymore boring. The Kiwis will be celebrating for the next four years until the next World Cup. The AB's have paraded over the country, showing off the Webb Ellis Cup. GO THE ALL BLACKS!!

THE MIGHTY CHAMPIONS!!

As most of the World knows by now, the New Zealand rugby team, the All Blacks have conquered the title of Rugby Champs. 80 minutes of gruelling rugby and NZ comes out on top. The final score in the New Zealand vs France score was 8-7. Piri Weepu missed all three of his kicks. But he played really well. Sadly, he had to go off and Andy Ellis took his place. Aaron Cruden did a job on his knee. They replayed it many times, but we couldn't watch it. The look of pain on his face. Stephen Donald had to come in for him. He got one penalty kick. The AB's didn't play a spectacular game. They gave the ball over to France too many times. But we got there in the end. France's defense was veeeeeeeery on to it. NZ didn't get many amazing runs like France. As the clock ticked over 80 minutes we were all gripping the edges of our seats. Finally, Andy Ellis got hold of the ball and kicked it into touch. Dad was jumping up and down, waving his arms and yelling, "blow the whistle ref!!! Blow it!!!" And he blew it. Then we all lost it. Yelling and jumping, screaming and still trying to watch the tv. The All Blacks now have the Webb Ellis Cup for four years. After a while, we calmed down and watched the All Blacks get their gold medals. I got a surprise - a very nice one - when Mils Muliana got his medal too. Then Colin Slade and Dan Carter. Poor Cruden on his crutches. Richie McCaw recieved the cup and kissed it. They all crowded in for the photo and sprayed champagne everywhere. Ma'a Nonu's wouldn't spray very well, so he just tipped it on everyone. Later, he was seen rubbing his eyes. You know, fizzy wasn't made for eyes!! Well, if you didn't watch the game, you don't need to, as I have filled you in on all the juicy bits. GO THE MIGHTY ALL BLACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Holiday in Raglan

Every holiday, we go to Raglan. It's a little beach town about two hours from where we live. Mum's Mum, Dad and Grandma live there. My Nana works at the club. (Click 'read more' to see all the pictures.) Grandad works for the Police Force. Grandad gardens, cooks and does amazing things with wood. He built our rubbish bin. And a lot of other things. Grandma crochets. She makes awesome blankets. Every kid in the whole family probably has one. All the cousins. We call them Grandma blankets. Grandma normally makes them when we are babies. Mine, Hayden's and Emma's all have our initials stitched into them. Yesterday, we got home from six days at Raglan. We always have soooo much fun there. Nana and Grandad's house is three stories high. Grandad built it. It's really cool. We always take both the dogs and this time we had to take Emma's goat. My goat went up the road to some friends. Emma used to have a white goat like me, but sadly he passed away. Then she got another one, who is toffee coloured. He is about three weeks old and really small. We can pick him up easily. In the car, he sits on my knee. Please comment!

Our old cat

As you would have seen, I have called my blog cat 'Horse.' In Footrot Flats there is a massive cat called Horse. So when Dad got a cat he named it after biggy. For a loooong time, we kept Horse. As he aged, he started to do his business inside and not eat very much. When you rubbed your hand along his back, you could feel all of his bones. Then his kidneys started failing and we got to a point where we needed to put him out of his misery. I wrote him three letters. It was so horrible stroking his stiff body, where there was meant to be life. We had a family funeral under the camelia bushes, where we already had one cat buried. Horse was the best cat we ever had and I shed many tears over him. Particularly one day, when I told my sister to 'get her stuff off the floor before Horse weed on them.' That was so bad. Because he wasn't there to wee on them. At night, he wasn't there to wake us up becasue he wants to get in with us. He didn't meow at us to let him in the cat door. He didn't do anything. I forbid anyone to walk over where Horse is buried because that wouyld be betrayal. So as a tribute to Horse, I named my blog cat after him. Thanks

Piri Weepu

Piri Weepu, father of two beautiful girls and the star of the All Blacks, recently lost his grandfather. His family kept it from him because he was going to play a big match. That shows family support for him. Piri's grandfather watched down on him as he played a magnificent game against Australia. Piri didn't mange to convert all of his tries, but he had a lot on his mind. We love you Piri, play hard. xox

It's Movie Time!!

The other day, we were in Video Ezy, getting some movies for the holidays. Anna - my best best best friend - was in there too. Her Dad just dropped her off there and left. But he and Mum had had a little chat and Anna was coming to our house!!! Whoop de do da day!!! So after a quick stop at the supermarket - where we conned Mum into buying popcorn and lollies!! - we headed off home. As soon as we got there, Anna and I disappeared off to my room - where my t.v is - while the movie was loading, we popped the popcorn and took hostage of the lollies. (Sweet and salty poporn, the BEST!!) Again, we headed off to my room, got sorted and settled in. After we had watched about 45 minutes of Alice In Wonderland - the new version - Anna's dad turned up - EARLY!!!!!! Well, we had fun while it lasted. Thanks Anna, for being the awesome person you are. ☺

What Happened?

This is what I think has happened in this picture - or should've happened anyway. (It's what I want to happen!!)DOC has decided that we need elephants in New Zealand. Not for their ivory of course, but we have many tourists that come from overseas who would love to see an elephant. They were already thinking about it, then the RWC, made it happen. We have many unhappy tourists because we don't have any elephants. They won't be held in captivity though. The elephant will have a free rein. DOC will drop them off in a large forest, if they find their way into town and cause disruption, then DOC will rethink the whole thing.

Woo Hoo!!!!

The picture looks how I feel right now. As you know, my goat Rusty, was meant to go to the farm. It happens to be my friend's farm, Anna. So one day, we were talking on the phone and I bought up Rusty going to them. After a bit of babble, it turned out he was too young. So now, thanks to the farmer's smart brains, I get to keep my beloved baby!!! Woo hoo!!

Farewell Rusty

My beloved goat, Rusty, has to go back to the farm. He has competed in Pet Day and Group Day - and done VEEEEERY well - but he's too big now. He used to be free range. roam around, but now he is too big and has to go on a tether. It's about six metres. When we go out, we have to put him in the dog kennel, in fear that he'll break loose of the tether. Rusty lives a boring life. Tether, kennel, tether, kennel. he still sees me, but it's not the same as goats and paddocks. So some day some, my baby will be leaving us forever. The other day, I took about a million photos of us together - for memories- and yesterday, I took him into the forbidden forest. (Out of Harry Potter) Nah, we have a forest and I took him through the whole thing. We were probably in there for an hour, as Rusty had to try every single new plant!! I'll be sooooooooooo sad when he goes, but won't miss going out in the cold to feed him!! I love you  Rusty. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

My Fave Colours

Green - especially lime green. I just love the brightness. Dark, gunky green, is one of the worst colours imaginable!! I choose the rose picture because, they're just so pretty and 'rose' is part of my name. I love it.

Purple - I just like the colour. I don't really wear it, but it's just kind of . . . different. It grabs at me. I choose the lightning because as soon as it loaded, it amazed me. I was 'wowed!!' It's even the computer background now.

Orange - it was meant to be yellow, but I just had to use this picture. I choose it because I really like sunsets. I like to draw them - and I am not a very good drawer!! Sunsets, I can draw quite well. All the blended colours. Red, orange and yellow. They look so beautiful.

We love you Mils!

Mils Muliaina played his last game as an All Black against Argentina. It was his 100th test match. Mils has been such an amazing player - one of my favourites - and I'll be very sorry to see him go. We all will. Mils managed to charge through the opposition, with such force, that I would hate to get in his way. He had some awesome runs and i just don't want him to go. Sadly, a fractured shoulder is too much. Mils, I wish you the best with your future. I'm so sorry, but understand it was for the best. xox

My Comment Guidelines

First of all, thank you for visiting my blog!! Ok, to write a quality comment, you need to understand what your commenting on. If you don't really know what the post is about, don't comment on it. There should be  a greeting eg 'Hi, Hey, Hi Kayla!' That sort of thing. Try to connect with the content of the post. Compliment it or add more ideas to it. I might say that 'I baked paenut brownies on the weekend but this happened . . .,' and you could respond, 'yes, this happened to me, I did . . .' Something along those lines. Ask a question so that I come back to your blog and comment on yours. Lastly, check your puncuation and don't give away any personal details. I got this quote off http://whatelse.edublogs.org/2011/02/26/comment-considerations/ I loved it so much, that I had to get it. Thank you!! A comment is your footprint . . . a path back to you . . . prepare your path wisely.  It did have three pictures of a foot, but it didn't want to cooperate on my blog!! Thank you. http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2011/09/25/challenge-3-me-on-the-internet/

Choose your own destiny!

I'm going to write the beggining of a story. In a comment, you can leave what would happen to you!
Something pulls me towards the raging ocean. Some invisible force. It beckons me. "Take a step, and another one, rest in peace with me." I take a step. And another. And another. I take small stiff steps until I have reached the waters edge. Suddenly, something inside me snaps. I wake up. Trembling with anticipation, I dive into the foaming sea. Salt water claws it's way into me. Spluttering, I try to pull myself to the surface of the water. "Stop struggling, it will take a long time. Stay still and I'll make it quick. I promise." Gulping air into my burning lungs, I keep fighting. "It's not worth it, stop, stop. It'll happen quicker if you cooperate. Please, just stop. For me." What do you do? Struggle and survive? What's your destiny? Leave a comment, let me know.

If I could learn anything . . .

It would be how to remember everything that I hear. This would be an amazing skill to posses and would come in very handy!! If there was someone lucky enough to be able to do this, then they would make a GREAT Police Officer. They would know all the strange things people say, and the police would just need them in the room, not a scribe. Sometimes, I think my head might get a bit full though!!!

After School Activities

Okay, for the Blogging Challenge - http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/ - we had to write about after school activities. At the moment, I'm not doing anything. I used to learn piano and for a while I did singing. I still know how to play the piano and still sing, but I just don't enjoy taking lessons. In netball season, i had two practises a week. My Combined Schools team and Year 8 Reps. But apart from that, after school activites are just not my thing.

Rusty

My goat Rusty went to Pet Day with me on Monday 3rd October. He earned two thirds, one second and one reserve champion. On Friday we will be attending Group Day at the Island Reserve. Before Prizegiving, we raced home to get Emma's shivering goat warm - he's only two weeks old - as it was raining really hard. We all got soaked to the bone. At home, I changed into warm DRY clothes and we zoomed back to school, after charlie had stopped shivering and was settled on a heat pad. My goat - seven weeks old - was fine. he hated the rain, but we weren't scared about him getting sick or anything. Emma got the trophy for best relationship with her goat. I could see it coming. Whenever she wasn't in the ring, she was holding her goat to her chest, covering him with towels and clothes, so he stayed warm. Keep checking out my blog and I'll keep you posted on all the latest!! Thanks

I am a . . .

It's a toughy. I am a mixture of two. Creators publish web pages, write blogs, upload videos to sites like YouTube. Spectators read blogs, watch peer-generated videos and listen to podcasts. Because on Creators, I write a blog but none of the others. On Spectators, I read blogs. I definitely don't fit into any of the other categories. I would have to be a mixture of both of them. So I'm a creator and spectator. That's funny, they're both two completely different things!! So there we are, see ya. http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2011/09/25/challenge-3-me-on-the-internet/

My Favourite Widgets.

Hmmmm, I have two websites that I like. The first one is Glogster. http://www.glogster.com/login You can't see Glogster unless you are logged in though. It wants a lot of information when you join up. Age, birthday, gender, country. The only reason it wants to know if you are a girl or boy is so that it gives you the right coloured teddy bear for your profile pic. So I have a red bear. Boys get blue. It's easy after that. You just click on a button 'create glog' and your away. You can do awesome backgrounds, texts, graphics. And it's easy to publish and put the link on blogs. There is only one thing bad about it and I found it highly offending. Brace yourself. It said "Forget blogging, try glogging." Huh!! I still much prefer blogging. The other widget is http://www.pageplugins.com/ This lets you do all sorts of things. Glitter writing, calendars, clocks, countdowns, notes. But the notes aren't just normal notes. You can write a message and it will be covered in paint. You then put it on your blog and visitors have to scratch the screen with their mouse and the note will be uncovered!! That is neat. And there is another one like that but it is a magnifying glass one. The mouse will turn into a magnifying glass and the words get bigger and readable!! That's it for today, this has turned into a veeeeeeeery long post. http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2011/09/25/challenge-3-me-on-the-internet/ Thank you!!

Digital Footprints

Most people don't realise how much information they give to unknown people to join sites. I, for one have joined Moshi Monsters, Blogger, Glogster and Gmail. But Gmail is only for logging in to Blogger. I'm not allowed to look at any emails I might receive. Moshi Monsters requires quite a lot of information. So did Glogster. Come to think of it, the took information that they didn't need. I filled in more than the asterisk questions. Normally I fill in all of them, depending on what they are. I googled my name, but didn't find anything at all. There was stuff about my town but none of it was actually about myself. Yes, I am on the web, on my classes blog, for Year 8 Netball Representatives team. I was in the newspaper two weeks in a row recently, for school activities. For this challenge, I have had to sign up for a few things but with my Mum's permission. I'm really enjoying it. http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2011/09/25/challenge-3-me-on-the-internet/

I would looooove to visit . . .

The Netherlands!! It is mostly known as Holland. I have relatives in the Netherlands, so it would be a great opportunity to visit them. I've never ever been there, though I am planning to. In Year 13, I would like to be an exchange student. I think it would be one of the best experiences in the World. There are so many great places to visit. What I would like to do before I go there is learn their language better. I know a few words but I can barely string together a sentence. I would definitely visit Amsterdam, that would be one of the first places I would see. Museums, yes. I would go to lots of museums. I like historical museums. Thanks for reading. Come back and see my latest posts!! Check out some awesome pics at google. Search the 'Netherlands' and see some beautiful landscapes. http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2011/09/18/challenge-2-my-place/

Questions for other Countries

In Challenge Two, Activity Six for the Blog Challenge, we had to write a post with questions for other other countries. So here are some of mine. . . Scotland - Do you think you deserved to win the game against England? I do. You played much better. (Even though I'm a Kiwi!!) Russia - Do many people in Russia talk English? What other languages do they speak? Denmark - What are some of your newspepers called? Just out of interest. Australia - Would you cheer for NZ or Canada at a rugby game? (I would cheer for Aussie unless they were playing New Zealand!!) Columbia -  Who are some of your neighbours? Do you know roughly how long it would take to get to New Zealand? Ireland - How many Rugby World Cups have you taken part in? If you live in one of these countries, could you answer my question? Thanks!! http://studentchallenge.edublogs.org/2011/09/18/challenge-2-my-place/
